The extensive involvement of the Anderson Companies in the game of golf has led to the formation of Lyle Anderson Golf, Ltd. This enterprise was created to manage the Companies’ golf projects and to explore opportunities in new golf-related projects. It has also managed a number of notable events hosted at Anderson Company clubs and communities including The Tradition, which was held at Desert Mountain from 1989 until 2001, and at Superstition Mountain in 2002. (Superstition Mountain is now proud to host the “LPGA Safeway International,” one of the most prestigious championships on the LPGA tour.) These events have been staged and professionally managed not only for success in their own right but also to build community and club stature and awareness.
