Merriland Farm is a 200 year old working farm. Jim and Julie Morrison bought the farm in the late 70's. Growing blueberries and raspberries was their specialty. Julie started making jams and pies and selling them at a road side stand. That stand has become the cafe. While Jim spent his time taking care of the berries, he designed and built a Par 3 golf course among the berryfields. The course opened in 1993. Now Jim and Julie are turning the operations over to their children. Their son Jon, a chef, now runs the cafe along with the help of his wife Stacy. Their daughter, Jennifer, and her husband Donny run the golf course. Their other daughter, Holly, now makes the jams from the harvest of the berries and other local growers to be sold at the cafe.
