Lincoln Park is a moderately well maintained, easy 9 hole golf course wedged between the Milwaukee River and I-43 on the north side of Milwaukee. It is a good course for beginning golfers to step up to a longer course from a par-3 course. The course has 6 par 4 holes, and 3 par 3s, all of which are legitimate golf holes. The course is also good for people on the north side of the city to run out to and get in 9 regulation holes of golf. Most of the holes are straightforward, and not particularly long. The 2nd hole, which is a 400 yard par 4 is the toughest hole on the course. It is uphill and plays quite a bit longer than 400 yards. On the second and third holes, hooked tee shots will go into the river, and on the 6th hole (a 172 yard downhill par 3) hooked tee shots will have a chance to hit vehicles on I-43. The 3rd hole (360 yard par 4) offers an interesting second shot, as a tree protects the right side of the green. If the wind is off of Lake Michigan (about 3 miles to the east), it is fun to see if you can drive the 285 yard 9th hole.
