Shoal Creek Golf Course, which opened in the fall of 2001, has quickly become one of the most talked about daily fee golf facilities in the Kansas City area. This 6,950 yard par 71 golf property was sculpted by golf course architect Steve Wolfard, and offers a truly unique golfing experience for players of varying skill levels. This extraordinary design features breathtaking elevation changes and expansive landing areas that meander through some of the most picturesque terrain in the Northland."



In our brief history, Shoal Creek has received many kind words from our patrons as well as from some of our more respected local media. In fact, the editor of Tee Times Golf Guide suggests that Shoal Creek is perhaps "…The Greatest Course in Kansas City" and recommends that local golfers "Go out and enjoy this 'Must Play'…"! KCmetrogolf.com featured Shoal Creek in June on their website and shared the following sentiments; "Shoal Creek opened less than a year ago, but is already establishing itself as one of the premier golfing experiences in Kansas City. With a course in this great of condition -- you can't help but enjoy the golf." Shoal Creek GC hosted the 2004 PGA Midwest Section Championship as a qualifying site for the CPC- Club Professional's Championship.



Zoysia tees, fairways, and approaches pave the way through this exceptional layout. The course features rolling, tree-lined terrain with large undulating Penn G-2 bent grass greens. The roughs are a bluegrass/rye mix framed by strategically placed native prairie grasses.



Shoal Creek also offers the Global Positioning System (GPS), designed by ProLink, which gives golfers the yardage from each golf cart to the flag stick as well as the contour of each green. Furthermore, this system benefits golfers by offering hole by hole layouts, messaging, tips to assist golfers, a pace of play monitor, and allows the club house to alert golfers of bad weather or other emergency information. In addition, Shoal Creek will feature new EZ-GO golf carts in 2004.
