The new year has begun and anticipation for another great golf season is underway. The maintenance mandate this year will continue to be “creating the healthiest plants possible”. This focus on plant health will help the course to withstand the unpredictable weather conditions offered to us North of 60. Last fall the grass was in excellent health going into the dormant season and we can only hope “Ma Nature” will continue to smile on us through to spring.

We had another great maintenance crew last year that put a heartfelt effort into maintaining and improving the course conditions. With the help of all our staff, the bunker on #6 green received a much needed facelift (literally) at the experienced leadership of Derek Wirth, several cart paths were leveled and compacted by the keen eye(s) of Clint Sauter, and a new, second to none tent facility was constructed, offering a beautiful atmosphere for banquets and tournaments. As we are always evolving, upgrades and improvements in these areas will be continued this year.
