The Moon Golf Club was formerly Bon Air Golf Course. It was purchased by Moon Township in the fall of 2005. And made possible, in part by a grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Natural Resources. The township then formed the Moon Township Recreation Authority. The Township leased the property to the MTRA in October of 2005 for a period of 50 years. The MTRA owns and operates what we know as the Moon Golf Club. The township board of supervisors appoints the five member MTRA Board to a five year term. The Authority is completely separate from the Township of Moon.
