Annually ranked by Golf Digest as one of the best places to play, with special notation as having a "country club setting". Originally opened in 1972 as Casper Creek, Orgill Park was designed by Press Maxwell and built by the Memphis Park Commission for Shelby County.
It is maintained by the Shelby County Conservation Board and managed by PGA professional Jesse Weeks since 1990. Jesse Weeks serves as the Director of Golf (A4), Mike Laird serves as the head PGA professional (A1), and Chuck Wilhoite serves as the assistant PGA professional(A8).
