Maxwell Municipal Golf Course

Located just south of downtown Abilene and minutes from Interstate 20, this is a public course that is always in great condition.

Maxwell is now back under the direction of long-time general manager Dave Hand, of West Texas Golf Systems. Dave finished major improvements to the course last summer, including resurfacing the greens with Champion Bermuda grass, and improving the quality of the cart paths. Along with an extensive list of other improvements, Maxwell is in its best condition ever!

Maxwell also offers golf lessons and hosts a Summer Golf Clinic. Dave Hand is a PGA Professional who has 35 years of teaching experience and was recently Senior Director of Instruction for The Nike Golf Learning Centers In Dallas. He is sure to get your game back on track, or help take it to the next level.
